Where Nervous System Safety Comes Before Change
At TheraChi Healing, we support nervous system repair, emotional healing, and reconnection through relational, body-based therapy that honors your agency and lived experience.

A Greater Sense of Safety Within Yourself
Over time, many clients notice their nervous system feels less reactive and more settled. This can look like fewer emotional swings, less overwhelm, relief from chronic pain and illness and a growing ability to stay present with what’s happening inside and around you, without needing to shut down or push through.

Relief From Patterns That Keep Repeating
Instead of staying in cognitive loops and relying on insight alone, we work gently with the body and nervous system to understand why certain patterns formed and what they’ve been protecting. As safety builds, those patterns often loosen, freedom from pain/illness, and more choice in how you relate to yourself and others.

A Deeper Connection to Yourself and Others
As regulation and self-trust grow, many people feel more connected to their bodies, their intuition, and the people in their lives. Relationships can begin to feel less charged or confusing, and it becomes easier to show up with clarity, compassion, and a sense of agency.
If you’re here, there’s a good chance you’ve already done a lot of inner work.
You may understand your patterns, know where they come from, and still find yourself reacting, shutting down, or feeling pulled off center in ways that don’t make sense. That disconnect can be deeply frustrating. It can start to feel like you’re missing something or like you should be further along by now.

What often goes unseen is that many of the patterns you’re trying to change didn’t begin with you. They formed early, sometimes before you had language, and some were inherited through family systems, relationships, and nervous system responses that once helped you survive. These patterns aren’t flaws. They are intelligent, protective responses that worked for a long time… until they didn’t.
When change doesn’t happen through insight alone, it’s not because you’re resistant or doing it wrong. It’s because your body is still holding the job of keeping you safe. Until your nervous system feels enough safety to let go of what it’s been carrying, real change can feel out of reach. This work is about slowing down enough to listen to what your system has been asking for all along, and meeting it with respect, care, and choice.
When we stop trying to force change and start creating safety, new possibilities open up. This is what healing can begin to look like.

I didn’t arrive at this work because I was looking for another method to apply. I arrived here by listening closely to what wasn’t working both in my own healing and in the lives of the people I was supporting. I saw again and again that insight alone wasn’t enough, and that pushing for change often created more disconnection, not less. What was missing was safety. Real, nervous-system-level safety that honors history, context, and the intelligence of the body.
That realization changed everything. Instead of asking, “How do we fix this?” the work became about asking, “What does this system need in order to feel safe enough to change?” From there, a clear approach emerged, one that is rooted in presence, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique pacing.
The process I use today blends nervous system regulation, relational support, and integrative therapeutic tools to gently unlock patterns that once served a purpose but are no longer needed. It’s not about forcing transformation. It’s about creating the conditions where healing can naturally unfold, and where you remain the expert of your own experience every step of the way.

The Ways We Can Work Together

The Ways We Can Work Together
STEP 1
A Gentle First Conversation
We begin with a free consultation so you can ask questions, share what’s bringing you here, and get a felt sense of whether this space feels right for you. This is a mutual check-in, not a commitment.
STEP 2
Collaborative Assessment & Pacing
If we decide to move forward, we take time to understand your history, current stressors, and nervous system needs. Together, we determine the level of support and pace that feels safest and most sustainable for you.
STEP 3
Building Safety and Support
Early sessions focus on establishing regulation, trust, and connection. This creates the foundation needed for deeper work and ensures you’re not pushed beyond your capacity.
STEP 4
Working With Patterns at the Nervous System Level
As safety builds, we gently explore and work with the patterns that have been keeping you stuck using relational, somatic, and integrative approaches tailored to your needs. You remain in choice throughout the process.
STEP 5
Integration and Ongoing Support
Healing doesn’t end with insight. We support you in integrating changes into daily life, relationships, and self-trust, adjusting the work as your needs evolve over time.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Jodi Silverman, LCSW
Psychotherapist and Nervous System Practitioner
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Reiki Master/Teacher, and the founder of TheraChi Healing. I created this practice from years of witnessing how often people are asked to push for change before their nervous systems feel safe enough to do so. My work is rooted in presence, relationship, and deep respect for the wisdom of the body.
At TheraChi Healing, I bring together traditional psychotherapy with nervous system regulation and spiritually friendly approaches to support healing that is collaborative, paced, and grounded in choice. My role isn’t to lead you somewhere you’re not ready to go, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and move toward healing in a way that feels true to you.
