Hi, I’m Jodi Silverman

I’m a holistic psychotherapist and the founder of TheraChi Healing. For over three decades, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and fellow clinicians who are navigating trauma, relational wounds, nervous system overwhelm, and the quiet exhaustion that comes from holding so much together for so long. What has guided my work throughout the years is a simple truth: lasting change doesn’t come from pushing harder, it comes from feeling safe enough to soften.

My approach is shaped by extensive clinical experience and a deep respect for the body’s intelligence. I’ve seen how insight alone, while valuable, often isn’t enough to create meaningful change when the nervous system is still working to protect. Whether I’m supporting clients in therapy or consulting with other practitioners, my role is to create a space that feels steady, collaborative, and grounded in choice where healing can unfold in a way that’s sustainable and true.

At TheraChi Healing, I don’t see people as problems to solve. I see adaptive systems that have done their best under the circumstances they were given. My work is about slowing down, listening carefully, and walking alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, your body, and your capacity for change at your own pace.

How I Came to This Work

I didn’t come to this work with the idea that healing could or should be rushed. Over the years, through both my clinical training and lived experience, I began to notice a pattern: people were doing everything they were “supposed” to do. They were showing up, gaining insight, trying hard to change, and still feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected in ways that didn’t make sense.

What became clear to me was that many of the approaches people encountered asked them to move forward before their nervous systems felt ready. They focused on understanding what was happening without always attending to how the body was holding it. And when safety was missing, even the most well-intentioned work could feel frustrating or incomplete.

My path shifted as I began to listen more closely to clients, to my own body, and to the ways protection shows up when something once mattered deeply. I came to understand that patterns aren’t problems to eliminate, but intelligent responses shaped by context, history, and survival. From there, my work evolved into an integrative, nervous-system-informed approach that prioritizes presence, pacing, and collaboration. This is the foundation of how I practice today: creating space for healing that unfolds naturally, when the system feels safe enough to let go.

MY APPROACH

Soul-Woven Therapy

Soul-Woven Therapy is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we tend to both the nervous system and the deeper rhythms of the soul. I understand healing as something that unfolds naturally when we meet our inner world with curiosity, humility, and care rather than force or urgency.

Through my own transpersonal journey and decades of clinical work, I’ve come to see that many of the patterns shaping our lives, especially the ones that limit our freedom were once creative adjustments that helped us survive. I don’t see these adaptations as random or pathological. I understand them as meaningful threads woven into our lives long before we had language for them, each holding the potential for insight, growth, and transformation.

When we bring these unconscious patterns into awareness, they begin to shift. They stop feeling like obstacles and start revealing themselves as invitations guiding us toward greater alignment with our values, our body’s wisdom, and the truth of who we are. At the heart of my work is helping you reconnect with parts of yourself that were never broken, only brilliantly adapted in service of your soul’s unfolding.

I approach the nervous system not only as a survival mechanism, but as a living record of your experience shaped by history, relationships, and meaning. When we work with it gently and respectfully, healing becomes less about fixing and more about remembering.

What to Expect in Our Work Together

Working with me is a collaborative, attuned process shaped by your nervous system, your lived experience, and your inner wisdom. Sessions are not rigid or prescriptive; they unfold in response to what your system is ready to explore and integrate.

Depending on your needs, our work may include:

Therapeutic listening through the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) or Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP)

Reiki-assisted psychotherapy to support regulation, presence, and gentle energetic release

Brainspotting to access and process trauma and subconscious patterns held in the body and brain

HeartMath practices to build coherence, resilience, and connection to the heart’s rhythm

Somatic tracking, grounding, and deep listening to support nervous system regulation

Space to process trauma bonds and relational wounds as they arise

Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help the nervous system relearn safety and reduce chronic pain and stress-based symptoms

Pain Reprocessing Therapy to help the nervous system relearn safety and reduce chronic pain and stress-based symptoms

Throughout our work:

  • We move at the pace of your nervous system

  • You are invited to listen inward and follow what feels true for you

  • Your experience is met with compassion, clarity, and respect

Clients often share that they feel more grounded, clearer, and more connected to themselves, sometimes in ways they didn’t realize had been missing.

Experience & Training

I bring over three decades of clinical experience to this work. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and since that time I’ve worked as a social worker, behavioral specialist, therapist, supervisor, and mentor across a wide range of settings including community mental health, schools, clinics, group homes, family systems, and private practice.

For more than 30 years, I’ve provided clinical supervision, training, and mentorship to professionals in social work and counseling. My leadership experience spans over 25 years in community mental health, where I developed and led teams focused on program creation, service implementation, and long-term sustainability. These experiences deeply shaped my understanding of systems, trauma, and the importance of care that is both ethical and humane.

My clinical training includes extensive work with trauma, attachment wounds, and relational harm. I’ve received specialized training in approaches such as the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model, the Will I Ever Be Good Enough? model for adult daughters of narcissistic mothers, and treatment approaches for narcissistic abuse. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Pain Reprocessing Therapy and a range of somatic interventions.

In addition to psychotherapy, I integrate nervous-system and mind–body approaches including Brainspotting, Emotional Freedom Technique (Level 2), the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), the Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP), and HeartMath® practices. I am a certified HeartMath® Practitioner and continue to engage in ongoing learning, consultation, and supervision.

My work with Reiki began in 2013 and has remained an important part of my practice. I completed my Reiki Master/Teacher training in 2014, Holy Fire® Reiki Master training in 2017 and 2018, and Karuna Reiki® training in 2023. I’ve continued advanced supervision and training over the years and collaborate with other mental health clinicians who are helping to shape and advance the field of Reiki-Assisted Psychotherapy.

I hold all of this experience with humility. My training informs the work, but it does not override your lived experience. Technique never comes before relationship, and expertise never replaces listening.

Who I Love Working With

I love working with people who are thoughtful, curious, and ready to approach healing with honesty and care, even if they don’t yet know exactly what that looks like. Many of the individuals who find their way to this work are deeply perceptive, sensitive, and resilient, often carrying more than others realize.

I’m especially drawn to supporting people who feel stuck in survival mode like those navigating chronic pain and illness, trauma bonds, betrayal, emotionally abusive relationships, or long-standing relational patterns that have shaped how they move through the world. I also work with individuals who struggle with boundaries, self-trust, people-pleasing, or a persistent sense of exhaustion that comes from being “on” for too long.

I also love working with helpers and clinicians such as therapists, caregivers, and professionals who spend their lives supporting others and are now ready to be supported themselves. Many come seeking a space where they don’t have to perform, explain, or hold it all together, only to arrive as they are.

You don’t need to be certain this work is right for you. Curiosity, openness, and a willingness to listen inward are more than enough. If something here resonates, that’s often a meaningful place to begin.

Fun Facts About Me

  • I’m a mom of two teenage boys, which has been one of my greatest teachers in nervous system regulation, flexibility, and letting go of control.

  • I share my life with a sweet rescue dog named Halo—which feels perfectly on point for the work I do.

  • My brain doesn’t really shut off. It’s constantly noticing patterns, making connections, and asking questions—which can be both a gift and, at times, a little exhausting.

  • I’m deeply drawn to what’s mysterious and unseen—both the hidden layers of the human psyche and the subtle realms of energy, spirit, and meaning that move beneath the surface of everyday life.

  • Synchronicities give me goosebumps, and I’ve learned to pay attention when they appear—they often signal something important is unfolding.

  • I love true crime podcasts and a good psychological thriller, especially stories that explore why people do what they do and how unseen forces shape behavior.

  • At the heart of it all, I believe our nervous systems are wise—and always doing their best to protect us.
