Supporting Mental Health and Healing Professionals with Lasting Personal and Professional Growth.
THE THIRD PRESENCE
TOTAL OF 17 CEUs pending through ASWB (additional fee)
If you spend your days caring for, supporting, or holding space for others, it’s easy to become so focused on the work that you lose touch with yourself and sometimes with what drew you to this work in the first place.
Reiki offers a practice that begins with you. Through Reiki I & II, you’ll learn a contemplative practice that supports your own well being, helps prevent burnout, and invites you to return to your True Self.
From that place, you can bring more presence and engagement to your work, stay connected to your personal mission, and continue showing up for others without losing yourself along the way.
The Third Presence is a way to learn Reiki in a way that is grounded, experiential, and designed to strengthen the work you already do.

THE THIRD PRESENCE
Join Jodi Silverman and Liz Hides, this fall.
Healing does not occur through the practitioner alone, nor through the recipient alone. Something emerges in the space between them, which is a relational field shaped by presence, attention, trust, and the willingness to meet what is here.
We call this The Third Presence.
The Third Presence is what becomes possible when you are grounded enough to listen, open enough to receive, and clear enough not to impose.
This training will help you cultivate that quality of presence while learning the traditional foundations and practices of Reiki.
Establish a personal Reiki practice and begin bringing greater grounding, awareness, and presence into your work.
Reiki level I is an experiential introduction to the Usui System of Reiki for mental health and healing allied professionals.
Rooted in the traditional teachings of Reiki and informed by contemporary understanding of the nervous system, this training develops the inner qualities that support ethical, effective, and sustainable practice.
Through Reiki practice, participants cultivate presence, self-awareness, ethical discernment, and relational attunement while learning the foundational skills of the Usui System.
Deepen your Reiki practice and develop greater confidence using Reiki within helping relationships.
Reiki Level II is offered following the completion of the Level I training and 21-day integration period.
This level deepens your experience of Reiki and introduces additional practices that support focused intention, emotional and mental healing, and connection beyond immediate physical presence.
Reiki II will also explore how helping professionals can remain grounded, ethically aware, and relationally attuned when bringing Reiki-informed principles into their work.

You will reconnect with the group twice during the 21-day journey to:

discuss what you are noticing
receive guidance
clarify the practice
explore how Reiki may be influencing your work and daily life
remain connected and accountable as your practice develops
By the End of Reiki Level I, You Will Be Able To:
Practice Reiki for yourself

Use Reiki practices to ground and prepare yourself before professional encounters

Remain more connected to your own body and internal experience

THE 21-DAY INTEGRATION EXPERIENCE
Reiki becomes more meaningful with practice.
The 21-day journey gives you time to work with Reiki in your own life before moving into more advanced teachings. You will be encouraged to practice consistently, observe without forcing an outcome, and become familiar with how Reiki feels and functions through your own direct experience.
This is one of the ways The Third Presence differs from accelerated Reiki trainings.
We are not simply preparing you to complete the next level. We are helping you build a practice you can trust.

FACILITATORS
The Third Presence is taught by Jodi K. Silverman, LCSW, Reiki Master/Teacher, and Liz Hides, MSW, RSW, Reiki Master/Teacher.
Together, Jodi and Liz bring extensive experience in Reiki, professional helping relationships, trauma-sensitive practice, embodied healing, and the ethical integration of spiritual principles into work with others.
Their teaching approach is relational, experiential, practical, and grounded in the belief that Reiki is not simply something we perform.
It is a way of being and a pathway back to our True Self

Jodi is a Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist and Reiki Master/Teacher with over 30 years of clinical experience. Her work is all about helping people find safety in their own nervous system, and Reiki has been a huge part of her own healing and clinical practice for over a decade.

Liz is a Registered Social Worker, Reiki Master/Teacher, mindfulness teacher, and grief specialist with over 25 years of clinical experience supporting people through loss and transition. She brings a steady, heart centered presence to everything she teaches.

No. Reiki Levels I and II are open to therapists, coaches, healthcare providers, bodyworkers, educators, healers, and other helping professionals.
A later Clinical Integration training will be available specifically for licensed mental health professionals who want to integrate Reiki into psychotherapy.
No. Reiki Level I begins with the foundations.
No. Reiki is a practice, not a performance. People experience Reiki in many different ways. You will be encouraged to notice your own experience without comparing it to anyone else’s.
No. Reiki has spiritual roots, but you don't have to follow any particular religion or belief system to learn it.
That depends on your role, your scope of practice, and any licensing rules you follow. We'll talk through consent and boundaries during the training, and licensed mental health professionals who want to go further can continue into a future clinical training built specifically for that.
Reiki is learned through experience and repetition. The 21-day structure allows you to develop a consistent personal practice, integrate what you have learned, and receive ongoing support rather than being left alone after the initial training.
No. Level I is a complete training on its own. Level II is there if and when you want to go deeper.
